Our Sustainable Community Strategy

Priority Outcomes

The Rossendale Partnership has refreshed its original Community Strategy into a Sustainable Community Strategy. The new strategy builds on our achievements and focuses on the longer-term environmental and sustainability of our town.

Our Sustainable Community Strategy is the overarching plan for Rossendale. It sets out the partnership's long-term vision for Rossendale and the challenging priorities it faces over the next 10 years. There are 14 key outcomes in the strategy which are set out under three priorities - People, Places and Prosperity. The strategy will also deliver a number of key transformational projects over the next 10 years.

The strategy will be delivered by Rossendale Partneship, the Local Stratgic Partnership for Rossendale, which brings together organisations from the public, private, community, voluntary and faith sectors to deliver better quality if life in Rossendale.

Rossendale Borough Council is a key partner of the Partnership and has recently agreed and adopted the strategy. The Council will work closely with its partners to help deliver the priorities and outcomes set out.
